SusanMary Redinger, Chair, Term expires 2017

SusanMary has lived in Harvard since 2006 and has two daughters. Her oldest daughter attends middle school at Bromfield and her youngest daughter is a 5th grader at HES.  SusanMary has over 12 years of experience in corporate education, training, and communications and has led large scale company-wide initiatives in the area of high-performance and leadership. Her background in project management and group facilitation is well-suited for school committee work! Currently an at-home mom, SusanMary volunteers at HES and enjoys tennis, gardening and camping.

Nancy Lancelotti, Term expires 2018

Nancy Lancelotti has lived in Harvard for nine years. Her professional background includes teaching middle-school science and practicing environmental law. Nancy has spent four years serving as an executive board member of the Harvard Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), first as secretary, and then two years as president, followed by one year as co-president. She is also a Cub Scout den leader.

Mary Traphagen, Secretary, Term expires 2018

Mary Traphagen and her family have lived in Harvard for ten years. She has four children; Price, Class of 2015, Will, a senior, Cormac, a sophmore, and Gretchen, a fifth grader. Mary has been in the field of education for many years as a teacher, tutor, and mentor. Presently, she is a teacher at the Village Nursery School. Mary was a parent rep. on the HES School Council for six years before serving on the School Committee. Mary enjoys reading, running, swimming, and spending time with her friends and family.

JON GREEN  Term expires 2019

Jon is a lifelong learner who has been in the field of Information Technology for over 30 years, the last 10 of which have been in public education. He has architected and led two public school 1:1 programs, while also earning his master’s degree in educational technology. He appreciates the benefits and challenges of teaching and learning with technology, and is an advocate of a team approach of integrating technology that brings together instructional design, curriculum design, subject matter expertise, professional development, and information technology. He also believes that it is our moral imperative and in our best interests as a community to realize our vision of guiding each and every student to realize his or her highest potential by balancing academic achievement with personal well-being in the pursuit of individual dreams. 

He is also a husband, a brother, a son, a father of two boys, a Massachusetts native, and a Harvard resident since 2011 who enjoys many outdoor activities such as gardening, bicycling, hiking, geocaching, walking, kayaking, camping, listening to music, and napping.

 

Maureen Babcock

Maureen Babcock, Devens Representative

Maureen moved to Devens with her husband Jerry in 2002.  Since then, their family has grown to include John who is in middle school at Bromfield, and Jack who attends HES.
She has enjoyed diverse work experiences including:  serving as a legislative aide to a NJ State Senator, preparing estate and business succession plans for small business owners, acquisition project management, human resources management, and even, interior design and staging.  

Maureen grew up in central NJ and has a B.A. in Political Science from Mount Saint Mary’s University.  She has also lived in Scottsdale, AZ (where she met Jerry), Houston, TX, and Newton MA.  

Maureen has served on the DEAC (Devens Educational Advisory Committee) for seven years, six of those as chair.  For the past six years she has represented Devens as the DEAC liaison to the Harvard School Committee.  
Maureen enjoys cooking, decorating and active pursuits including biking, hiking, running, climbing and kayaking.
