Meeting Highlights:

The Budget Hearing for FY26 took place which included a presentation and discussions between School Committee and community members. To view the full budget presentation, please visit the district website.
Members of the Harvard Energy Advisory Committee presented on the Zero Emission First Vehicle (ZEV) Policy. School Committee members ultimately decided to wait to vote on this issue and will revisit it at a future meeting.
School Committee members discussed the results of the feasibility study performed for the Small Land parcel. Unfortunately, due to the grade of the land, it appears this will not be a good location for athletic fields. Members will reconsider a potential land swap at a future meeting after revisiting some of the original details that were shared in the fall.

Dana Labb shared his Assistant Superintendent update.
Dr. Linda Dwight shared her Superintendent update.
Dr. Dwight shared a prepared memo outlining her recommendation for School Choice for the 25-26 school year. The School Committee voted to approve Dr. Dwight's recommendation as presented.

Future meeting dates and agenda items:

The School Committee will have meetings on April 14th and April 28th. Agenda items will include: revisiting the ZEV Policy and the land swap discussions, reviewing the School Committee Operating Guidelines, and reviewing the calendar for summer meeting dates.
